Sylvia Jeffreys has revealed she is pregnant with her second child.
On Saturday, the 34-year-old Today Extra host posted exciting news on Instagram, posting a picture of her husband, Peter Stefanovic, 38, and their 8-month-old son, Oscar.
“When you find out you’re getting a best bud for life. Oscar’s little brother due in April next year,” the Nine journalist wrote. “We are so lucky.”
Jeffreys is due in April 2021, which means she is 14 weeks or so out.
In February 2020, Oscar was welcomed by the couple who got married in 2017.
Following Oscar ‘s birth, Jeffreys took five months of maternity leave, returning to the Today Extra desk in late July.
Jeffreys announced that Oscar was conceived via IVF during the week, but it is not known whether her second pregnancy is the result of fertility treatment.
“I know from my own personal experience of IVF that so much goes into having a successful embryo and having something sitting there that gives you the opportunity to make life for your family,” she said, tearing up as she spoke.
“There’s such an emotional attachment to those embryos, long before they become the baby or the child that you grow to love.”

Six months of slow mornings with my little mate have come to an end. I know everyone says it but I honestly don’t know where that time has gone. 🤯 I’m so happy though to be starting my day with my other, less spewy but arguably more mischievous mate @davidcampbell73 as I head back to #TodayExtra tomorrow morning. And even better, I get to share hosting duties with the delightful @belinda.russell who’ll be at the desk on Thursdays and Fridays while my little family finds its new rhythm. Now, let’s see if this live tv bizzo is just like riding a bike. Dare you to tune in and find out. See you at 9am. 📺🤞🏼@thetodayshow @channel9
